ANTLER CORAL

Fairly common at scuba depths on reefs with good water circulation.  Attains at least 4 feet in height or diameter.  Stout branches with broad or cylindrical tips that lack sharp bends when viewed from above.  Numerous fish and invertebrates shelter within.  Formerly known as Pocillopora eydouxi.  Red Sea to Japan, Hawaii, Easter Island, and the Tropical Eastern Pacific.
