RECTA CACTUS CORAL

Common on exposed reefs.  Flat or domed colonies with sinuous valleys 0.5 inch wide with a single row of polyps, coarse ridges with narrow central groove, brown, gray or green with pale valleys.  Red Sea to Japan and Tonga.  Formerly known as Symphyllia recta.
