AGASSIZ'S
CORAL
An uncommon species found as encrusting masses or rounded,
fist-sized lumps unattached to the substrate in shallow water. Gray or
brown elevated calices 3 to
5mm in diameter on a smooth yellow, green, or cream base. Cyphastrea
ocellina has calices 1 to 2mm in diameter. Hawaii & the Western Pacific.
Formerly known as Leptastrea bottae
and Leptastrea inaequalis.
All

to 1998.
