Rare in coarse sand pockets or rubble in deeper water.  Septa are of equal height at the outer edges.  Segments break off readily.  Attains 2 inches.  Cycloseris distorta has numerous ridges twice as high as others.  Formerly known as Diaseris fragilis.  Red Sea to Japan, Hawaii, and Kiribati.
