STUBBY ACROPORA

Locally common on shallow reefs.  Variable in form including bushes or plates with many short branchlets, axial corallites swollen, often devoid of radial corallites on one side, radial corallites rounded or immersed.  Light blue or brown with pale tips.  Acropora granulosa has longer axial corallites.  Red Sea to Japan and the Austral Islands.
