SMALL MOUNTAIN ACROPORA
Uncommon on
shallow reefs exposed to wave action. Domes or massive sheets with
stout conical branches tapering to a rounded tip, axial corallites
small, tubular radial corallites of uniform size in rows. Pink or
light brown with pink tips. Acropora
gemmifera has large radial corallites that increase in
size below. East Africa to Samoa.
