SMOOTH BOTTLEBRUSH ACROPORA

Locally common on protected reefs.  Forms thickets of bottlebrush branches lined with  tapering axial corallites and short triangular radial corallites.  Branches are dead toward the base.  Tan with yellow tips.  Central Indian Ocean to Japan and the Central Pacific.
