PLATE ISOPORA

Locally common on shallow reefs exposed to wave action.  Solid horizontal plates, radial corallites exsert with thick collars, light brown.  Isopora palifera is structurally identical but grows vertically.  Formerly known as Acropora cuneata.  Indo-Pacific excluding Hawaii.
