SPREADING COSCINARAEA

Fairly common on shallow reefs.  Massive or encrusting with columns, shallow calices with numerous denticles alone or in short  depressions, giving a disorganized appearance, tentacles extended during the day, gray or brown.  Coscinaraea columna is massive with sinuous grooves.  Malay Peninsula to Okinawa and the Austral Islands.
