STELLAR CORAL
Fairly common on shallow reef flats with scattered
sand pockets. Unattached nodules with short irregular branches without
sandy texture or raised septa. Tan, brown or rarely pink. Calices very small and slightly depressed
with flowery appearance. Scattered records from East Africa to Hawaii,
Austral Islands, Mexico, and Ecuador.
