ATLANTIC GLASSEYE

A solitary species occasionally seen in dark holes by day, emerging at night to feed upon small fishes and mobile invertebrates.  The body outline has rounded contours, the trailing edge of the tail is rounded or convex and the soft fin rays with dark spots.  Attains 17 inches.  Caribbean to Brazil; Gabon to Sao Tome & Principe.
