THOMPSON'S BUTTERFLYFISH

Uncommon in small numbers among other zooplanktovores along deep reefs and walls exposed to strong current to 1000 feet.  Feeds upon zooplankton.  Attains 8 inches.  Spotty distribution includes Hawai'i, the Line Is., Bonin Islands, Samoa, Marianas, and Tuamotus.
