Occurs on silty inshore reefs.  Gray-brown with yellow caudal region, pink spots on cheek, black ear spot, black pectoral base, and blue spot on caudal peduncle.  Juveniles yellow with neon blue lines above and black ocellus on dorsal fin, tiny black spot at pectoral base, nearly identical to Pomacentrus simsiang.  Attains 4 inches.   Indonesia to Taiwan, Carolines and New Caledonia.
