Lana'i, 600 feet

Rarely captured from 300 to 1000 feet.  White spots decrease in size from head to tail, forming bars posteriorly.  Attains 32 inches.  Recorded at scattered locations from Mozambique to Hawai'i and the Society Islands.  Formerly known as Gymnothorax goldsboroughi.
