YELLOWSTRIPE ANTHIAS
Inhabits dropoffs along continental landmasses.
Intergrades with M. pascalus
in the West Pacific with confusing color patterns. Orange dorsal stripe and tail in females, males with
yellow snout and red spot originating at base of soft dorsal fin. Attains 5
inches. Mauritius to Japan, Solomons, and Palau. Formerly
known as Pseudanthias tuka. |
