Locally common in harbors.  Yellow spots at corner of gill opening.  Attains 5 inches.  Eating whole fish (head & guts) should be avoided as this species has caused severe Clupeoid poisoning.  Red Sea to the Central Pacific, accidentally introduced to Hawaii.
