BLUESTRIPE PIPEFISH
Uncommon in dark holes or under slabs at any depth.
Brown with a blue stripe and fan-shaped tail.
Hawaiian specimens are less brightly colored. May be observed
cleaning other species. Attains 3 inches. East Africa to Japan, Hawai'i, Mexico, and
Ecuador. Part of a species complex. |
