Common in murky bays, harbors and deeper coastal
waters but rarely seen by divers. Females enter shallow water give
birth. Feeds upon buried fishes &
invertebrates by sweeping the head left and right as it swims, detecting
prey by smell and electro-reception. Attains 13 feet. Worldwide
in warm & temperate seas. |
