Kuro-obi-matsukasa
Common in small groups just above the
reef or near ledges at scuba depths. Reddish-orange with a silver
background, narrow scales, rounded snout, dark bar through the eye and
gill opening, narrow caudal peduncle ahead
of the tail, and transparent second dorsal and anal fins tipped with
red. Attains 7 inches. Hawai'i and the Western Indian
Ocean east throughout the Tropical Pacific. |
