SMALLMOUTH SQUIRRELFISH 

Occurs in holes and under coral heads at any depth.  Slender with white stripes wider than red, spiny dorsal fin white with red central band and black spot between first two spines.  Attains 8 inches.  Central Indian Ocean to Okinawa and French Polynesia, excluding Hawaii.
