Endangered shrub of mesic forest or dry cliffs of O'ahu Wai'anae
Mountains. Palm-like with long leaves clustered at branch ends, this
variety has leaf bases tapering gradually to the petiole. Variety
cornuta from the Ko'olau Mountains has leaf bases abruptly
truncate where it joins the petiole. |
