SPLENDID PEBBLE CRAB

Uncommon, emerges at night on reefs deeper than 10 feet.  Eyes red, large teeth along forward arc of carapace, elbow section has several large spines.  Not safe to eat.  Carapace width attains 6 inches.  Red Sea to Hawaii and French Polynesia.
