FLORIDA STONE CRAB

Common in shallow muddy areas.  Carapace smooth and spotted.  Attains carapace width of 6 inches.  Claws are harvested from crabs that are returned to the water.  Connecticut to the Bahamas, Cuba and the Gulf of Mexico.
