MOUNTAIN SHRIMP    'Opae kala'ole or 'Opae kuahiwi

Inhabits the upper reaches of clear, fast-running streams that are relatively pristine.  Larvae develop in the ocean then migrate upstream.  Attains 1.5 inch.  Endemic to Hawaii.
