PALE ANEMONE

Abundant in clusters on rocks and mangrove roots in shallow water.  Transparent with brown, yellow, or green color provided by embedded photosynthetic cells called zooxanthellae.  Formerly known as Aiptasia pallida.  North Carolina, Caribbean, and Gulf of Mexico.
