PINK-MOUTHED HYDROID

Common in protected bays and harbors.  Delivers a painful sting.  Attains height of 2 inches.  Native to the East Coast of North America.  Introduced to the West Coast on ship hulls.  Formerly known as Tubularia crocea and Ectopleura crocea.
