CHOCOLATE-CHIP SEA CUCUMBER
Occasional in deep water on sandy reefs around the Main Hawaiian Islands but shallower in the NWHI, therefore it may prefer cooler water. Dark brown papillae resembling tiny chocolate-chips edged with white. Attains 15
inches. Hawaiian animals resemble this Indo-Pacific species but more study is needed. |
