PLICATE ARK

Common in clusters under dead coral at any depth, attached hinge outward.  The white shell is solid with a thin yellow periostracum.  Attains 1.2 inches, 30 mm.  Red Sea to Japan, Hawaii, and Rapa Nui.  Formerly known as Barbatia divaricata.
