LANGFORD'S SCALLOP

Live animals are uncommon in sand or rubble deeper than 50 feet, but dead shells are fairly common at any depth or in beach drift after large surf.  Attains at least 1.3 inches, 32 mm.  Endemic to Hawaii.  Formerly reported from Hawaii as Decatopecten noduliferum.
