LAHAINA FILE CLAM

Uncommon in rubble deeper than 80 feet.  Shell fragile with narrow ribs separated by wide spaces.  Bright orange tentacles extend during feeding.  Attains 0.8 inch, 20 mm.  Endemic to Hawai'i.  Formerly known as Lima lahaina.
