HAWAIIAN CLAM

Common in clusters under stones in shallow water.  The shell is translucent, and the extended animal appears to have horns resembling a sea slug.  They are able to move quickly when disturbed.  Attains 0.5 inch, 12 mm.  Endemic to Hawaii.  Formerly known as Nesobornia bartschi.
