| Empty valves are common in sediment at any depth. White,
yellow, or pink with brown markings, coarse with intersecting axial and concentric threads,
prominent brown apex. Attains 0.2
inch, 4 mm. Red Sea to Japan, Hawaii, and the Society Islands.
