| Common under stones or in algal mat to 100 feet. Slipper shaped,
green, yellow, red, or brown. Shell
covered by thin hairy periostracum. Attains 0.5 inch, 12 mm. Red
Sea to Hawaii
and the Gambier Islands. Formerly known as Septifer bryanae. |
