NICOBAR SPINY OYSTER

Common under stones and on shady vertical surfaces.  Spines hooked, white with brown flecks outside.  Attains 4 inches. Red Sea to Japan, Hawaii, and the Society Islands.  Spondylus hystrix is a synonym.
