SCALY GIANT CLAM

Nestled among on rubble, staghorn coral or sand in shallow water.  The shell has prominent, widely spaced scaled.  Brown or blue with concentric lines and oval spots of contrasting colors.  Attains 16 inches.  Red Sea to Okinawa and French Polynesia.
