HAWAIIAN WHITE-BANDED AUGER

Uncommon at any depth.  Shell stout with slightly inflated whorls, axial ribs larger and extending over most of the body whorl when compared to Hastula albula.  Degree of brown banding variable.  Attains 2.7 inches, 70mm.  Endemic to Hawaii.  Member of the Hastula albula-casta species complex.
