AUGER
Uncommon at scuba depths.
Fine axial ribs may be obsolete or strong, color
yellow, olive, or brown. Protoconch of 3 - 4 brown whorls. Columella entirely white.
Attains 2 inches. Dark shells are referred to as Hastula
strigilata f. verreauxi. East Africa to Hawaii and the
Marquesas. |
