ABBREVIATED CONE

| Common partially buried in sand on reefs and tidepools
to 60 feet. The spire is coronated with brown spiral interspaces,
body whorl tan, olive, or gray with spiral rows of evenly-spaced brown
dots, aperture purple and white. The animal is tan with a pink siphon.
Attains 1.7 inches, 45 mm. Endemic to Hawaii. |
