OLIVE-GREEN CONE

| Abundant, partially buried in sand
on reefs at any depth. The spire is coronated, body whorl olive or
rarely light brown with a faint midbody band, spiral beads toward the
base, and purple aperture. The animal is reddish black. Attains 3.2
inches, 81 mm. Red Sea to Japan, Hawaii, and French Polynesia. |
