RETIFER CONE

| Rare in sand under slabs
deeper than 30 feet. Shell thick and glossy, pink with a rounded
shoulder, spiral threads, orange and black flammules, and tents of several
sizes. Attains 2.7 inches, 69 mm. East Africa to Japan,
Hawaii, and French Polynesia. |
