LEADEN CONE

Common under stones at any depth.  Spiral sculpture of granules, fresh shells with irregular brown or blue-black blotches, violet base.  Attains 2 inches, 50mm.  Madagascar to Okinawa and the Society Islands.  This species complex includes Conus glans and Conus tenuistriatus.
