SPECKLED NERITE
Abundant under stones in brackish water along the shoreline, usually
submerged. Matte black with
minute white
speckles. Attains 3/4 inch. Endemic to Hawaii.
Formerly known as Theodoxus neglectus. May be confused with
the entirely black Nerita picea. |
