SIMILAR TRIPHORID
| Common under rocks in shallow water. Yellow-brown with upper
& lower spirals on last whorl dark brown, occasionally all brown, anterior siphonal canal
completely closed, short & straight. Mastonia
cingulifera has one large and three small red-brown spirals on
last whorl and recurved siphonal canal. Attains 0.2 inch, 5 mm. New
Caledonia and Hawaii. |
