PURPLE GYRE TRITON

Uncommon under rocks or rubble at any depth.  Strongly compressed, color variable, aperture lavender.  Attains 0.8 inch, 20 mm.  South Africa to Japan, Hawaii, and French Polynesia.  Formerly known as Gyrineum pusillum.
