BLACK-STRIPED TRITON

Very rare in Hawaii under rocks at any depth, fairly common elsewhere.  Color variable, distinctive black grooves on all whorls.  Attains 2.6 inches, 65 mm.  East Africa to Japan, Hawaii, and French Polynesia.  Formerly known as Cymatium hepaticum.
