BUMPY CHONDROPHYCUS   LIMU LIPE'EPE'E

Common in shaded areas on rocky shores exposed to wave action.  Purplish-red groups of flattened axes 5mm wide, outermost branches with wartlike knobs on margin, never stalked.  Hawaii & the Indo-Pacific.  Chondrophycus sucissus is brown with stalked spheres on margin and is also known as Limu Lipe'epe'e.  Formerly known as Laurencia parvipapillata.
