TOLYPIOCLADIA

Common epiphyte attached to other seaweeds at any depth, typically appearing as a delicate fuzzy mat choked with sand.  Branches resemble of tiny Christmas trees 0.5 inch high, with transparent filaments extending from tips.  Color variable.  Hawaii & the Indo-Pacific.
