Makapu'u & Waimanalo, East O'ahu
| Waimanalo offers a range of ocean activities to satisfy any skill
level depending upon location and weather. Tidepools at Makapu'u
and Kaupo are interesting during calm weather and low tide.
Snorkeling among large corals is available from Kaiona Beach Park south
to Makai Pier. Snorkeling and scuba diving along the rocky shores
of Makapu'u is only safe during flat calm days at peak high or low
tide. Novices can dive in somewhat murky, shallow water at Makai
Pier but avoid swimming near or beneath the pier. |
