Family Tripterygiidae

Triplefin Blennies

Triplefins are similar in appearance to Gobies and Blennies but have three dorsal fins and the mouth tapers to a point.  Common but not easily spotted due to their small size, they consume algae and small invertebrates.  One endemic species in Hawai`i.
