STRIATED FROGFISH

Occurs over soft bottom or among seaweed in deeper water where divers are unlikely to venture.  Light brown, gray, or orange with distinctive black-edged spots and stripes, rarely all black.  Illicium nearly equal in length to 2nd dorsal spine with bait resembling  short worms.  Attains 9 inches.  Hawaii, Indo-Pacific and the Tropical Atlantic.
